April 2016: Marketing Action Calendar for Restaurants

After a month of March full of significant dates for carrying out marketing actions, we begin April, which does not offer us so many possibilities, but which we can make the most of if we use a little imagination.

If we focus on Spanish festivities , we have two important moments that can serve to do something special in our restaurant, such as the April Fair , from April 12 to 17, or San Jordi - Saturday 23 -, which coincides with the day of the book, hence it is the festival of the book and the rose in Catalonia.

April Fair
Although the April Fair is celebrated in WhatsApp Number Database Seville, for years many bars and restaurants in other parts of Spain have “borrowed” this date to pay their own tribute to the city of Seville. Prepare a party where everyone has to go dressed in traditional costume (men in shorts and women in gypsy dresses) and where sevillanas are played all the time, rebujito and typical Andalusian food are served: fried fish , baby squid, aubergine a la cordobesa, shrimp omelettes , marinated dogfish…

We can also do wine tasting sessions of Jerez wines, which are well known throughout the south and are increasingly in demand in the rest of Spain. Amontillado, oloroso, fino, manzanilla and palo cortado are some of the varieties of this Denomination of Origin that have gradually gained numerous followers outside the borders of Andalusia.



The tastings can be accompanied by typical tapas from there or even organize a dinner with more elaborate dishes that are harmonized with these wines. You can talk to a winery and have the winemaker or winemaker present at the dinner and explain the virtues of the wine, its tasting notes and its possibilities.

The April Fair lasts five days, but we will choose what best suits our business. We can do something specific for just one day or extend it for the whole week and alternate activities.

Sant Jordi and Book Day
Another of the important dates on the calendar this month is Sant Jordi, April 23, a public holiday in Catalonia, the day of exchanging a book for a rose - men give this flower to women and they give them a book - it happens to be the national book day.
